How does mental health impact accompaniment?

Mental health is fundamental in compassionate accompaniment. Understanding its importance and the limits of our role allows us to offer adequate and effective support.

Being aware of mental health enables us to provide integral accompaniment and thus ensure the wellbeing of ourselves and those we accompany. In this course you will recognize the importance of challenging traditional paradigms to broaden the vision of wellbeing in all aspects of being.

  • Those who feel a call to this work from any profession or path of life.
  • Healthcare workers. therapists, counselors, chaplains, funeral workers, among others.
  • Those who completed the Compassionate Accompaniment course and wish to continue their training to apply for certification program as non-medical professional with specialization as Life, Death, and Transition Doula.

We delve into the limits of compassionate accompaniment, the nuances of the human condition and survival adaptations, and the need to refer cases to professionals when necessary.

We explore the new paradigm of conscious, intentional and compassionate accompaniment within the context of mental health.
